I've Been Tagged!!

I have been tagged by my beady friend Aryd'ell gypsysramblings.blogspot.com/2008/01/tag-youre-it.html for a game of Meme. So here are 7 things you prolly don't know about me.

1. I grew up in a family owned bakery. Always swore I would not turn into a baker like my parents but of course that is exactly what happened! Used to have fresh yeast doughnuts for breakfast every morning before school, the bus used to pick me up there.Yea..spoiled! hehe
I started actually working when I was about 12 and even taught craft classes at my mom's shop ( cake and craft shop) when I was about 18.

2. I am a movie-holic, all kinds of movies, from Harry Potter to Die Hard to cheesy girly movies. I love to watch movies on my computer as I work on my art.My children and I quote movies all the time.

3. My beverage of choice..or should I say addiction, is sweet tea. Can't live without it! Can ya tell I am a southerner from SC? My fav food is my gramma's Chicken N Dumplings..yummm.

4. I would rather spend money on books and art supplies than anything else. I am not much into fashion (I would rather wear jeans and t-shirts) and I can live off of Peanut Butter sandwiches!

5. I love to read..mainly mysteries. There are many authors that I keep up with and agonize over when the new books come out.

6. I can make most anything...just don't ask me how to do higher math!

7. A book I made from altered bingo cards, playing cards, altered cd's, and altered AOL CD holders got published in the now-defunct Expression magazine. It was the August issue in 2005...6 whole pages !! Boy was I surprised by the length of the article. Sad to see that magazine go under as it was a favorite of mine.

Happy new Year belatedly !!

Well I have been a tad bit busy creating so I have not been here to post. I hope everyone had good holidays...I am honestly glad they are over. Too much stress these days over them.
Anyways..I wanted to share a few of recent creations with you all...so here goes!
This is a beaded cuff bracelet i made in conjunction with a group challenge on the Beaddreamz Yahoo group. It is my first cuff but won't be my last as i really enjoyed making this. I used three polymer clay face cabs that I had already made. I like the look!
I made my youngest daughter a large polymer clay bowl to keep her beaded bracelets and necklaces in ( instead of laying them all over the furniture as usual) for Christmas.She loves it thank goodness :o) .



These are a few of the beaded bracelets I made for Tyler ( my youngest dd) for Christmas.
Funny part is she tries to wear them all at once!!! Well.. she IS 13!! hehe



Now..over on the PCP Forum I am on ( http://polymerclay.forumarena.com/ ) we had a heart challenge for Jan..and these are just a few of the ones I made for it. ...there are many more as hearts are addictive to make. You can see the rest and many other of my new clay goodies here

Well it is officially the holiday season in our house...I started baking last night! I bake sweets for the family as well as for the two oldest living at home to take to work. My DD Sammy's co-workers are used to it as she has been there over 5 years...and they were starting to ask
' Umm..is your mom baking this year?' LOL I love it. :o)
